RETAIL BUSINESSES IN KENTUCKY TO CLOSE UNDER NEW EXECUTIVE ORDER

All in-person retailers in Kentucky that are not considered “life-sustaining businesses” are to close at 8:00pm tonight until further notice, according to an executive order from Governor Andy Beshear. The order, which was announced Sunday evening, will require retailers such as entertainment, sporting goods, clothing, shoe, jewelry and furniture stores, florists, bookstores, and auto dealers to temporarily close to the public, though these business are still allowed to conduct business through phone and online orders and deliver curbside service to customers.

Life-sustaining retail businesses include things like grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, hardware stores, gas stations, and other businesses that provide staple goods.
