GOVERNOR BESHEAR UPDATES BAR/RESTAURANTS RESTRICTIONS AND MAKES SCHOOL RECOMMENDATION
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear made two important announcements today regarding the state’s response to COVID-19.
- Schools: The Governor made a recommendation that K-12 schools push back in-person instruction until September 28. Jefferson County Public Schools recently announced that schools in Louisville Metro will start on August 25th with Non Traditional Instruction. That plan will be reevaluated after six weeks. - Bars and Restaurants: Bars and restaurants will be able to serve customers at 50 percent capacity, starting Tuesday, August 11. Social distancing and masking will be required. These businesses will be required to close by 11:00pm and cease serving food and beverages by 10:00pm. In addition, all customers must remain seated and congregating around a bar is prohibited.
